The ruins of this baroque mansion rise up above the gorge of the Unica at the southern end of Planinsko Polje.
At one time this was one of the most magnificent stately homes in Slovenia.
It boasted a marvellous park, of which unfortunately only a part survives today.
The stately edifice was ravaged by fire during the Second World War.
Its valuable furnishings were completely destroyed, along with the family archives and the family vault of the mansion's last owners, the Windischgrätz family.
