Local cultural and social traditions are the principal focus of this day-long event, which attracts young and old alike with a programme of entertainment and cultural enrichment. Every year the event draws numerous visitors from Slovenia and abroad.
The main purpose of the event is to bring the history of cart transport and related crafts closer to people living today. The varied programme also includes the opportunity to taste numerous local specialities.
The event illustrates the rich heritage of transport using pack animals and carts. Artisans present more than 40 different crafts relating to cart transport. The event also includes an accordion competition, a fun display of canine agility and skills, vintage cars, organised games for all the family and a rich array of prizes. There is also a full programme of other entertainment and dancing.
