Several different footpaths lead to the summit of Sveti Lovrenc, the most popular being the one starting in the little village of Studeno.

A little church dedicated to St Lawrence (recently renovated) stands in a pass just below the summit.

The Church of St. Lawrence This is one of the oldest churches in Postojna, as it was first mentioned already in 1391. The core of the church is probably Roman, but we can also see the influences of lstrian architecture. It is consecrated to st. Laurence, who is the patron of firefighting.

Wonderful views open up from the summit in the Postojna and Cerknica directions (Snežnik, Slivnica, Vremščica).

Benches are available at the summit where hikers can rest and refresh themselves with food and drink from their rucksacks.

The walk up Sveti Lovrenc takes approximately 1 hour, depending on how fast you walk.
