Below, above and behind Predjama Castle is a fascinating labyrinth of karst caves.
The most important of them is the Cave below Predjama Castle, the second-longest show cave in Slovenia. Several species of bat live in this cave, which is also one of their largest hibernation sites, so the cave remains closed throughout the winter.
The Cave below Predjama Castle is open to visitors from May to September.
